La Serre Bistro, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

“Impressed”

I have eaten in all the usuals of Dubai, and specially in the one this one is competing with (la Petite Maison).
La Serre was much better, the service, the food, and the day light (I went for lunch).
Maybe not that much of an atmosphere in the Bar (It is not DIFC, so the footfall is more limited), but the food much better.
I have been a few times and the food is constantly good.

Dishes to try:
The roast chicken with Foie: expensive for a chicken but 3 can eat.
Quinoa salad with Duck: Amazing mix of tastes
Lobster Linguini: Simple but good.
Actually no dish has disappointed me so try all.

La Farine, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

“Simple but excellent”

I eat there a few times a month.
Food is generally good but lately I order from the dish of the day election (I say selection because they have between 2 and 3 different dishes of the day).
Last week one day I had the fish (Sea Bam). Great presentation, great taste, and great quality.
Next day I had the lamb shank. This was heavy but too die for. Gravy was excellent, lamb was tender, vegetables were cooked to perfection and mashed potatoes were superb.
Chef and his team do a magnificent job with their dishes but I will reiterate that you must try the daily specials.
This is not a Michelin restaurant but food wise its excellent. regular dishes from menu are good as well.
One disappointment: I saw them opening a bag of fries to cook. Chef, please with everything so good i would love to try some kitchen-made fries form here.
Robin and the rest of the team always do a great job.
